Qualifications and experience

Educational Psychologists have an MSc or Doctoral qualification in Educational Psychology. Prior to qualification, they have been a qualified teacher or have relevant paid experience working with children.
Individuals trained as Educational Psychologists complete training at institutions accredited by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Psychological Society (BPS).
Once qualified, Educational Psychologists can become Chartered with the BPS. They must register to become a Practitioner Psychologist (Educational Psychology) and maintain standards of proficiency to remain registered.
